How You Have Helped

“To all concerned,

I want to sincerely thank you for the generous help and great opportunity that we received, when we were granted assistance allowing my son, Nathan, to attend Van Buren Youth Camp.  I couldn’t have afforded to send him.  He has written a note to express his thanks.  I wanted to add how happy (and tired) he was on our drive home.  He talked non stop about camp and how great it was.  Then he slept and got up with more stories.  In the weeks since he often tells me new and repeats tales of his experience.  We are very grateful for the help.  I am especially thankful you have a great camp.  Nathan wants to go every year and then be a cabin counselor.  God bless you all.”

A Message from the Chair

James D. Farrell
Director, Civil Service Commission

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

It is my privilege to encourage, and support the thousands of state employees who each year make a difference in our communities by giving generously to the State Employees Charitable Campaign.

The theme of this year's campaign "You Can Make a Difference" reminds each of us that with contributions to the worthwhile charities that are a part of this campaign we are able to make a difference in the lives of others and in the communities in which they live.  Whether these organizations represent health agencies, environmental causes, or a specific community initiative, they all have the same goal of making a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors.

A contribution to the 2007 State Employees Charitable Campaign is one way you can make a difference.  Your active participation in this year's campaign will enable us to reach this year's campaign goal of $1,600,000.

Please join me in continuing this annual tradition where, as a state employee, "You Can Make a Difference".
