Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief/Recovery Effort

Employees wishing to contribute to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief/Recovery Effort have several options available to them through the SECC.  We encourage that if you make a contribution to this fund, that it be over and above your normal SECC contribution.

Many communities in Michigan have ALREADY EMBRACED hurricane evacuees and local charities are ALREADY HELPING them put their lives back together.  When you help the nonprofit organizations you already support in your community, you are contributing in one way or another to hurricane disaster relief and rebuilding.

To donate to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief/Recovery Effort via:

2.  Check - made payable to the Bush-Clinton Katrina FundComplete Sections A, C, D, E, and F.  Fill out the amount of your pledge and indicate Organization Code TW 22, Member Agency Code 4529.  Attach to your paper pledge form and return to your department volunteer.

3. Credit Card -  Complete Sections A, C, D, E, and F.  Fill out the amount of your pledge and indicate Organization Code TW 22, Member Agency Code 4529.  Fill in the appropriate credit card numbers along with your credit card billing address.  To ensure confidentiality, the pledge form should be mailed by the employee to:  SECC Manager/Fiscal Agent, 1627 Lake Lansing Road, Suite B., Lansing, MI  48912.By contributing to one of the following agencies which are directly serving the hurricane relief effort.

4.  The following list contains participating charities of the 2005 Michigan SECC that are involved in the short and long term relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina.  The SECC is providing this list as a service to the State Employees of Michigan.  The SECC does not promote any agency to the detriment of others.  The SECC takes no responsibility in attesting this is a complete list.  These are the agencies which have responded to our recent survey.
