serves to identify local human service needs and provide supportive resources to help meet those needs toward a more positive quality of life for residents.

 

Alzeheimer’s Association – Greater Michigan Chapter

provides caregivers and persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and other related dementias with resources and support through a wide range of programs and services

 

American Red Cross

assists people to prevent, prepare for, and respond to disasters and personal emergencies; ensures people have food, clothing, shelter and blood supplies in emergencies.

 

Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired

Rehabilitation program advances the independence of people who are blind or visually impaired through low vision exams, rehabilitation training, counseling and support groups

 

Big Brothers, Big Sisters

helps at-risk children, ages 5 to 18, reach their potential by placing them in professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with trained volunteer mentors

 

Boy Scouts of America, Gerald R. Ford Council

prepares young people to make ethical choices, provides training in citizenship, service and leadership; also educational opportunities for skill development, self growth and healthy behavior.

 

Catholic Social Services

helps nurture, stabilize and strengthen families and children through individual and family counseling, pregnancy support, adoption and family preservation programs.

 

Citizens for Better Care

provides information, education and direct advocacy to the community to enhance the self-determination and well-being of long-term care consumers.

 

Conservation District; Ionia County

to educate the citizens of Ionia County on conserving and preserving our natural resources.

 

Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Provides one free book per month to children from birth to age five to improve literacy and school readiness.

 

Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails

inspires high ideals for self-worth and dignity that girls may become caring, capable, competent young women and provides support to local Girl Scout troops.

 

Ionia Area Hospice

non-profit, independent hospice, serving a 10-county area with physician-led, highly-skilled teams. Our mission is to do what is right for patients and their families.

 

Ionia County 4-H Advisory Council

assists in planning and carrying out the total 4-H Youth program which benefits youth development in Ionia County.

 

Ionia County Community Mental Health

manages and provides an array of services and supports to children and adults with mental illness, severe emotional disturbance, developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders.

 

Life Guidance Services/Wellness and Prevention

Supports and implements strategies identified by Ionia County Substance Abuse Strategic Plan through staffing the Ionic County Child Family and Community Council Substance Abuse workgroup

 

Pregnancy Services of Ionia County

Is a local pregnancy care center serving Ionia County. We provide free pregnancy testing, education and lay counseling, and baby related material assistance.

 

Relief After Violent Encounter – Ionia/Montcalm, Inc.

provides adult and child survivors of domestic and sexual violence with resident and non-resident services to assist them in responding to the effects of abuse

 

Salvation Army Booth Family Services

provides intervention/emergency assistance and intervention for households in crisis through financial support and emphasis on resolving  the source of the crisis.

 

YMCA – Ionia County Branch

is non-profit; our mission is to provide Aquatic programs and memberships, providing financial assistance to all who qualify, in the Ionia County area.
