Alzheimer’s Association – Mid Michigan Chapter – Provides a 24-hour helpline, support groups, counseling/care consultation, respite scholarships, education/training, safe return, advocacy for Alzheimer’s patients and families.

American Red Cross – East Shoreline Chapter – The Red Cross is dedicated to making our communities a safer place to live, work and play by providing relief to victims of disaster and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

HDC’s Foster Grandparent Program – FGP connects low-income seniors and children with special or exceptional needs by creating meaningful volunteer opportunities that improve academic and social skills among children.

HDC’s Thumb Area Assault Crisis Center – ACC provides a safe residential environment for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include a 24-hour crisis line, counseling and housing assistance.

Innerlink-Runaway Services Program – Innerlink provides emergency shelter and counseling to runaway and homeless youth, assisting youth in returning home and helping divert youth from the juvenile justice system.

Lake Huron Area Council-Boy Scouts of America – LHAC-BSA provides a quality, value based scouting program that teaches our youth leadership skills, develops character and trains citizenship.

Lakeshore Legal Aid – Lakeshore Legal Aid provides access to the legal justice system, with direct, holistic, civil legal services to senior citizens living in the County of Tuscola.

Special Needs Vision Clinic – The Special Needs Vision Clinic provides optometric care to physically and mentally handicapped persons, as well as low vision services to the visually impaired/legally blind.

Thumb Area Big Brothers/Big Sisters – BBBS assists children in becoming more confident, competent and caring individuals by matching them with screened volunteer role models in one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Tuscola Place for Peace – TPP is a drop-in center for people with emotional and mental illness. It provides referrals to FIA, TBHS, HDC, BWCIL, Tuscola Homeless Coalition and many other community resources.
