Van Buren County United Way- VBCUW partners with over 30 local programs that are focused on making lasting changes in the community by tackling the underlying causes of the most serious problems in Van Buren County.
American Red Cross-A Humanitarian organization led by volunteers that will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Big Brothers Big Sisters, A Community of Caring- Big Brothers Big Sisters, A Community of Caring creates, develops and nurtures quality relationships between children and mentors to guide each child to become a responsible, socially competent and caring adult.
CARES-Community AIDS Resource and Education Services- Provides case management services for people living with HIV to maximize quality of life and education aimed at minimizing HIV transmission in Southwest Michigan.
Child and Family Services of Southwestern Michigan, Inc.- CFS provided quality human services in Southwestern Michigan for 116 years. We help individuals and their families to become self-sufficient so they are able to live fully functional lives.
Disability Resource Center of Southwestern Michigan- Disability Resources Center of Southwest Michigan is the “first stop” for people with disabilities and their families. Through the supports and services provided by Disability Resource Center we are connecting people to be actively engaged in their communities.
Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan: Van Buren County- Our Staff and volunteers affirm living. We are committed to compassionate care for people coping with serious illness, with dying, and with loss.
Legal Aid of Western Michigan- Provides free civil legal services to low-income families in domestic violence divorces, housing, consumer and disability. Services range from advice to representation in court.
Samaritan Counseling Center- The Samaritan Counseling Center provides psychotherapeutic counseling to individuals, couple, families, and groups in Southwestern Michigan.
Senior Nutrition Services-To provide a hot nutritionally balanced noon meal at congregate dining centers, or delivered directly to homebound senior citizens age 60 or older.
South Haven Area Senior Services- SHASS helps seniors by connecting them to community resources, providing rides for medical care, engaging them in senior center activities and helping with in-home service.
Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency- SMCAA exists to assist people in economic need and enable them to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency while respecting their diversity.
Van Buren 4-H Leaders Association- 4-H offers “hands on” experience for youth through volunteer leadership. 4-H teaches practical skills that help make youth more responsible and productive citizens. Through their 4-H experiences, youth acquire knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills. |
